With a total of 58,100 visitors and 581 exhibitors FIBO impressively emphasized its role as the leading international trade show and pacemaker for the international fitness and health industry.

h/p/cosmos was very pleased concerning the high interest in medical systems. A study shows that one in four fitness studios currently plan to invest in health promotion and expand their line of business into this field. And that is not a one-way development either, since physicians and therapists have likewise come to resort to health oriented exercise schemes in patient treatment with increasing frequency. “A convergence of the fitness and the health markets which FIBO took into account in its strategic orientation at a very early stage“, says Hans-Joachim Erbel, Managing Director of FIBO organiser Reed Exhibitions GmbH.

This brought a new quality of trade visitors: meanwhile more than twenty percent of all trade visitors are members of the health professions and working in a physiotherapy practice, a rehabilitation clinic or as physicians in private practice. “A new quality of trade visitors who would never have dreamt of visiting FIBO five or ten years ago”, says Hans-Joachim Erbel.

h/p/cosmos presented itself as a truly competent treadmill specialist under actual and practical conditions. The "natural running" team from running expert Dr. Matthias Marquardt offered motion analysis live on the h/p/cosmos stand to interested visitors.

The well-known personal trainer Lamar Lowery performed functional training on h/p/cosmos treadmills and shows new training methods from professional sports with the target to improve strength, speed and movability.

The sports scientists from „mld" offered performance diagnostic tests through graded lactate testing – the analyzed athletes reached after extensive testing details recommendations for their individual objectives.

The therapists from the Bundesknappschafts-Klinik demonstrated therapy applications using the h/p/cosmos locomotion System and the new therapy-system h/p/cosmos robowalk^® expander in practical applications. This innovative system offers by using traction support and/or traction resistance new therapy opportunities on a treadmill.

The FIBO has developed into one of the most important European trade shows for h/p/cosmos as the number of visitors from the health sector continues to rise.
